My longest deadhead head was somewhere around 600 miles... Grand Rapids, MI to East St. Louis, IL. Im pretty sure the only reason my dispatcher sent me that far was so I could make it home by Christmas... It was also brokered by TQL, my dispatcher only got loads from them as a last resort.

I’ve deadheaded from Vegas to carlsbad, nm. From Dallas back to the Carolina’s. 3-400 is fairly common. With 600 being not unheard of . I have found over the years that it’s more profitable for me to just beat feet back as fast as I can.

Think all of us are ready to hear of your progress with the "ramps" and other get ready to the new tractor.
Them that know you, don't knock you...Them the knock you are desperately seeking your higher level. You know, it is sometimes a complement to be "shot at". Be a duck or wagon wheel. Let it roll off your back or just squish on thru it.

Cite the marriages day agreement... "I will make you a good husband as long as you make us a good living."

Yeah I used to regularly DH 200 to 400 miles on weekly basis when I was OTR, but for us a 600 mile DH was a very rare thing. I was pretty shocked to see that load cone across on my dispatch. But once I was loaded, and seen it was a TQL load, I realized she had been reaching far and wide to find something to get me home for Christmas with my family.
