Do they still have the "dips" in old US80 NM and AZ? In 18 months of then running it, never saw water in one.

There is lots of those types of roads out here . Generally each one of those dips has what we call a "wash" . You will only see water in them when it rains. But if the washes are running you better not cross them. Or probably end up on youtube somewhere.
