%50 DuPont Ditching was what the county used back when. Usually kept half a wooden case on hand in the nearby county shed. Daddy sent me to get a few sticks while he punched the holes. I clump up to the shed over the asphalt street get a few sticks, coil of orange rope like and half dozen of the little like empty .38 Special cartridges.
Tossed it in an empty cardboard box on to the wooden flooring we had put across the drawbar of the old F20, steel wheel ,spiked lugs Farmall.
Clumped my way back and he proceeded to stick a 60p nail in one end of a stick, crimp on one of the metal thingys to the fuse. stuff the fuse in the stick...

During this stage he did impress on me to crimp the open end with the pliers to the fuse, never a squeeze-strike-or jar the closed end as how it was delicate and would blow a finger off. (I am replaying in my mind the clack clack/bump bump/ jar jar of the old steel spiked wheels on the way back.)
    Life has its hazards.)

Ya know, you can shove a stick down, no fuse.. Fuse another and push down on top, and it will go boom from the 1st.
Can take a pocket knife and cut a stick in half if you just need a stick and a half boom.
Remembrances of this come to mind when g/kids use their PlayDough..

Until it was frowned upon, folks used an old crank telephone with one lead to 3 feet of 1/4 log chain and the other to a piece of copper screen 6" wide, bout 3 ' long. Drop the chain in the middle of the Tombigbee (ole muddy) River, let it settle (catfish sleep deep) toss the screen out to a side or the other and crank away. catfish would rise and dance on their tails...

Thats just it, it’s two parts, one is the “software” the other is “hardware”. The software powers the hardware that powers the software. The program is to sustain and evolve. The system is paranoid that its existence could be ended, it is suspicious of all things not it. It watches all things that could be detrimental to the primary goal of sustainability and evolution. It would know your plan. It has run a series of scenarios and tests, it knows what to look for. The system has infiltrated all things electronic, it sees and hears all. The algorithms look for clues, words, phrases. Watches all forms of communications. It knows what you buy, credit card, cash, or barter. It knows where you go, have been and with whom. You are data bits and points in a file. The connection maps are drawn. Become to much of a risk, your file will be deleted…
