That shopping list can then be sent to any number of grocery stores. The store can then deliver them, if you want. Microwave and toaster ovens have apps that let you scan a code on a food package, it then properly heats that food. Washing machines and driers can be connected together, telling the other what settings were used and when it will finish the current cycle. All are connected to the Internet of things.

One common core of this is mostly automated construction. Humans jut keep the machines supplied with the necessary materials to build whatever it is.
