I do have to admit that I have been tempted in the past to throw the electronic leash into the stew pot.

Every day more machines are becoming connected. Household appliances are an example. Refrigerators have cameras inside that keep an eye on your contents, then remind you to add those products you are low or out of to the shopping list. That shopping list can then be sent to any number of grocery stores. The store can then deliver them, if you want. Microwave and toaster ovens have apps that let you scan a code on a food package, it then properly heats that food. Washing machines and driers can be connected together, telling the other what settings were used and when it will finish the current cycle. All are connected to the Internet of things.

Apples new M series silicon is an integrated chip.
Referred to as a system on a chip. A lot of the functionality of a computer is in just one chip.

One common core of this is mostly automated construction. Humans jut keep the machines supplied with the necessary materials to build whatever it is.

What happens if you hit it with a water balloon or a squirt gun?
