Consider getting a thermometer. Thermoworks brand is very good and very reliable, plus reasonably priced. Have a few of them.

Any one else remember when you could get a top of the line hot rod Camaro or other muscle car for $7500, out the door.

Does Dad half joshing me about me being too young, so he could not justify couple of grand more for a new Pantera over a Mercury Monarch count?

Yeah— turn the main off, pull the mid panel and check all the wire connections— sounds kinda like it’s grounding out

Never had the desire for a car, but the first 3/4 T Chevy 4x4 I bought was $7200 cash brand new with less than 10 miles on it in 79 — next one was a 82 S-10 $6500 cash — and then a 86 F-150 that was 12k cash— then it all went to ####

My first new car was a Ford Pinto....the last year they made them. Totally bone stock, not even a radio. Probably around 1980.
    $3500 out the door.
