If you are interested in history of the American West and the Indian Wars then I HIGHLY suggest Terry C. Johnston's Plainsman Series... The first one is titled Sioux Dawn. They are Historical Fiction, a fictional character whos story has been woven into actual historical events. He has a couple other series as well, all of the same basic nature. All VERY GOOD. Ive read everything he ever wrote, at least once some twice.

We used to do that to with the MM(Mass Market Paperbacks, for that don't know) when we'd have to send them back. All they wanted was the covers.

We had a customer who knew we did that with certain books and magazines, and every Sunday, they would be in our dumpster pulling out books.

Loved that job, but then I had a good crew to work with from the Store Manager all the way down.
