I’ll admit that’s something I wouldn’t find particularly amusing at the time, especially after already running 25 other stops. But by the time I have nothing left to do but stretch my legs and relax on the hundred mile ride home I’d probably laugh about it then. :biggrin_25523:

Fortunately with a 6 AM start I’m usually punching out by 4-5 PM.

When people ask you what you're doing, you can really answer, "Chillin' ".

I see two problems with fuel, at least for my personal taste.

First is the tiny gas stations on busy highways that you may or may not wind up having to back out of.

    Second is not enough miles.

But then again I don’t like the short runs so I don’t like to work.

8 minutes from the time I walked through the door till she pinned me— attacked while I was taking my boots off— gotta be some kind of record

It's hourly. $30 hour OT after 40. 50 to 60 hours a week. Boils down to about a $100K year, plus perks.

Make a lot more at Landstarve.

Might need to just go more fully custom on Blackie III. Take out lower cabinets, get a real fridge.

My belated sympathy.. Ran a 42 stop meat del to grocery stores in Greenville, MS a while. Only saving grace was a box of bones, 2 or 3 10lb boxes of sausage/sandwich meat each order. And several (2 especially) were at intersections of neighborhood streets and we could make 4 deliveries from one park.
    #### stick of bologna would roll off the stack, hopefully out of sight. 10 pound ; like ice cream paper bucket, of liver, partial thaw near end of day, dropped/knocked over. Chunk of liver on floor. Just pick it up,wipe down slam in bucket, deliver. Frying it sterilizes any contaminants..Should do some food service, it makes you think, plan, and lie about the shortages....
