i know there is but that is a variant of the game... just like best ball or 4 ball or match play, scramble format etc.. name your type of scoring.. there is different ways to score different games... but the tradition stroke play is having the lowest score which means hitting the ball less times then the next guy... match play was always my favorite way to play.. its the only pure 1v1
What if it Snows?

Sounds so good. Wish I could be there, sure would enjoy.
Thinking back, I hauled many a bale of cotton thru Greenville (around) in the day. Out of MS, thru B'ham, Atlanta, Athens and cross into SC to Anderson. running US29. In the day, 29 went up thru Greenville, but truck route 29 veered right (NB) and passed on around to come back as a 4 lane onto Spartanburg.
It is reputed that Greenville police had a ledger downtown. You went on thru town; got captured, was taken to the station house. If your name was in the book.
you were a violator and fined. If not , you were added and told next time it be on you. We ran to Gastonia a lot and the 4 lane stretch G/ville to Spartanburg was a breath catcher after Atlanta to Anderson. Short, but comfortable.
(Al Batton and Joe Pat Chipley were two unhappy signers they said...)
