    Reminds me of dad "borrowing" the keys to a coworkers pickup, that just happened to work on another coworker's Vette. Would just move the Vette across the parking lot randomly.

    One of the "boys"; at a millwork shop here in Tupelo, got him a new Datsun pickup back then. Was extolling the MPG he was getting. So they plotted for a week or so,and would sneak and add a gallon to his tank. Kinda spaced out as he reported the improvement in MPG as it "got broke in".
    They let it level off for a while, the tapered by adding 3 quarts, 2 quarts, then 1 quart... Guy was beginning to lose it with the dealer over this reversal,
    especially when it was openly discussed at break time about someone knew a guy who had one that was still going down after 6 months. The factory was "working on it". The things the guys would carry on back then and the extended time it took.

    There's almost no one at this Love's, yet the trucks are 3 to 4 deep at the fuel island, and it's doing it's best to become an indigenous fuster cluck.

    The only way that can happen like it is, is half the people at the pumps are taking a crap, the other half standing in line, waiting for the first half to finish.
