    Since FET is 12% of the retail sales price on a taxable item. He's looking at about $40k for the base trailer. Not too far out of line.

    Predatory place up the street has this one:

    Trailers are pretty basic. I would not be scared to go used after a good structural inspection. Here are a couple of used ones to compare to that would save the 12% FET
