I've heard that also.

My big concern would be that they are primarily Nocturnal, I am not.

 

Don't believe it, at least not in every case. My brother and his family spent all one winter living with us while their house was deodorized. His son tried to make a pet out of skunk.
They never got around to removing the scent gland and there were three separate areas of the house that got sprayed.
I suggested just burning the house down and I really believe my brother considered that for a while.
My bother's co-worker asked him why an Indian would make a mistake like that. My brother told him the son was more idiot than Indian.

 

My take on it would be never— if it’s near the house, burn it collect the insurance and move on
