Wow. Man, thats a heavy bit of news. Hopefully it is a slow growing one and has a good recovery rate.
Your bride really needs your support right now. Do your best to keep a positive mindset. Trust me thats hard to do some days. All I can say is been there, we got fortunate and had a great medical team.

Many thanks for the prayers and positive thoughts this unwanted detour of life’s journey has just started with very little info. The oncologist said it’s very treatable (not really sure what that means) that’s all I know for now. Light tain and 65 degrees this morning is helping bring a sense of calm. The recent heat and tain has kicked the garden into overdrive zucchini and yellow squash are abundant. Tomatoes and cantaloupe will ripen soon.

Well, I've seen PICTURES of armadillos. They DO look kinda weird.

I did a little internet research.

Their range in the USA has been steadily expanding over the last hundred years, and biologists can't explain it.

They don't swim well, so the western rivers are a huge barrier to armadillo expansion.

The armadillo presence in Florida is due to escapees from a small zoo in 1924, and two additional escapees from a traveling circus in 1936.

There have been armadillo sightings in Illinois. The armadillos got there by.......STOWING AWAY ON CATTLE CARS BOUND FOR CHICAGO, in the early 20th century.

Biologists estimate armadillos will make it to Canada within the next hundred years.

TL/DR: The armadillos are coming. Seek shelter NOW!

    Cantaloupe is good.

Zucchini......not bad, just a little too abundant for my liking.

I've found that if I accept even ONE zucchini from a co-worker, it constitutes a contract whereby I am obligated to take delivery of an additional TWENTY zucchini, at any time, with or without notice.

I have yet to find the legal basis upon which I can REFUSE delivery of the additional zucchini.....
