What if it Snows?

I booked 3 loads. Short trips. I somehow didn’t see the first one didn’t deliver immediately upon pick up. Delivered TOMORROW. It was going to Dollar General DC. CRAP. So I got there and explained my situation and begged to be unloaded and they checked me in. This was 0530. The security people are not DG employees. And Capstone is the lumper. So there was no one to talk to. I even took $100 for a bribe. I had to wait in staging.

Second load picked up 30 miles away but I had to be there by 1400. That didn’t happen so I had to cancel that load and the third one that was coming right back to the same town.

At 1330 I was asked to park in the other lot that was outside of gate. Had an airline bust so I drove 5 miles to Freightliner and obtained some parts and fixed the airline on the on ramp.

I finally get a call at 1800. They will unload me. The same lady that checked me in asked why they didn’t unload me during dayshift. Dang good question Tina. Departed at 2030.

Ahhh good times. Well I got a phone call apologizing for messing up my hometime. And layover pay. At receiver now. But they don’t take trucks till 5am. My appt is 8 am. We will see how it goes. And my click says 4 hrs till it’s out. Really hoping to get home before noon tomorrow. Really hoping.

 

Redneck version has brakes also, they just sit there not working. Like you said, minor detail.....

 

Another hot night in Dallas/Ft Worth it’s 1:20 AM and it’s still a hot and humid 92 degrees.
