Getting the ##### AC replaced at the house today, what really ticks me off is its still working! Having a problem with the coil, there's a guest bedroom next to the mechanical closet, condensation is coming out of that closet and soaking the carpet in that bedroom. Originally thought the condensation line was plugged up, guy checked and cleaned it, couple weeks later, wet carpet again. This time they took it apart and cleaned the coil, couple weeks later same thing, he said the only thing we can do is change the coil, makes sense. Of course the unit is just old enough that nobody has a coil that'll fit it... so, I have to replace everything inside, either that or end up with moldy carpet. I guess I could be worse, I could have stopped working while we were waiting for the new unit. Getting tired of hearing my shop fan going all the time in that room.. it's always something!

We got our new one year before last and it was about $4500......but that included a new heater as well because apparently it's a 'unit' kinda deal.
Anyway, super happy with it. Electricity bills are much happier.

That seems very reasonable. I forget what mine was in 2014.
