I spent close to a month in the dry Arctic temperatures of Denali. Carmex was the absolute bomb. Burt's Bees is a honeycomb based product. Lanolin aka "sheep sweat" is a pure healing thing. Bees wax doesn't hold a candle to lanolin.
My dad kept six hives in our back yard. We ate honey comb and helped him "smoke" the hives to collect honey and honey comb. Lanolin was the absolute savior of hand wounds. The origin of lanolin was because sheep herders had very few unhealed open wounds. The "sheep sweat" healed their hands.
Carmex is the bomb.
