I disappear for 10 days and I'm 1533 messages behind, according to the little number in the corner. WTF, you guys?

Well, the wrenching experiment has come to its inevitable end.

We were informed over six months ago, that we would be moving to another facility north of us, and that our suggestions for the new shop would be appreciated......

Except that our suggestions were NOT appreciated, and the big boss did exactly as he pleased. Furthermore, this move adds 15 minutes to my commute. And the pay increase predicated on my passing various levels of dealer training has failed to materialize.

So, I was pulled into the office a couple weeks ago, told by the boss he hears I'm not happy about the move, and that I'm "not developing into the technician he needs me to be".

And then went on to say that he has to let me go, but he'll "work with me" as I'm looking for another job....which I've been doing for over a month.

I've been getting ghosted by employers that woulda been a slam dunk for me a couple years ago.

Anyway, I put in an app last night, and got a first and second interview and conditional offer of employment today.

Looks like I'll be back behind the wheel, hauling fuel for "the Borg".

Start date undetermined, still got paperwork to do. Probably after Labor Day.

Forklift work was interesting. I had hopes for this gig, but......oh well. They have HUGE problems in management that they don't even realize they have. I'd bet my last paycheck that my boss is the next one on the chopping block.

Well, the Borg just texted me a bunch of stuff to fill out. Later!
