What if it Snows?

I was power-washing pallet racking at work yesterday, and suddenly thought, "I miss hearing Dad's laugh".......

 

Yup. For me it was dealing with a remarkable feat of engineering stupidity today in Baton Rouge. He'd have been 84 this year, and been gone almost 10 years.

 

Dinner, round one.

 

I do the same thing. Just stupid little stuff will remind me of things. Lost my dad oct 30 2012. He was 51. #### ALS, horrible disease

 

Must like the neighborhood.

You ever in Hatch, NM at harvest time? I've been thru there and did not know how lucky I was to not know or try any of their peppers. Kroger had a promotion going about a month ago and is repeating it now. I looked up some facts on them and found out: There peppers are green and hot, and as the green peppers grow older turn slowly red and rapidly get hotter. Kroger had some on Johnsonville packaged brats and some shrimp sty foam trayed take outs that all were very good. You definitely knew they were in there, but not objectionable to me. (I can stomach pretty hot spiced, just not sprinkled on red pepper.)
Noticed they had a lot of just the peppers, green and red, kind of shrunk and a little shriveled on display. Something about the land/location etc on it being good pepper land. I would advise you look up Hatch, NM and Hatch peppers before you buy a pepper and chomp off the end. Check your Kroger store, may be the chain wide offering.
