Any of y'all on here have your HME ? I let mine lapse because didn't need it when I quit hauling tanks, but thinking about getting it back in case some 'opportunities' arrive in the future. (ie: Tank driving again, maybe?!?)

Well, in looking at my BMV abstract, it says this:

Endorsements:
TANK VHCL
DBL/TRP/TL

TSA THREAT ASSESSMENT EXPIRES: 1/1/2020

Does this mean I've got to renew my HME before January, or... what? Really, I don't remember all this stuff....happens when you've been driving so many years and have brain lapses, tbh.

As stated, I don't need it where I am now, and may NEVER leave this place I'm at....just 'phishing' around, per se.. with the QC stuff going on.... I still 'hear' things from the tank guys.

Just don't want to start a new thread where every Joe Schmoe 'know nothing' would reply. I only rather talk to a few of y'all on here, tbh.....

I never needed it but I'm thinking about getting it since I just got my tank. I've never pulled a tank and to be honest I would be scared to death to do so. I had to get it because of the totes we carry in the trailers.

 

Where'd y'all get THAT?!?!? NICE size, for sure..

 

Right, I forgot about that 'confusing' totes law, tbh. All I pull in my boxes are.... well.....boxes. (Flat, strapped corrugated...these dedicated / one customer gigs are too easy, haha!)

 

I had been pulling those totes without a tank and one day my boss said something about it and I told him I didn't have it lol. I didn't know and he just thought I did since I had doubles and triples like they were the same thing or something lol.

 

That trips a LOT of people up, tbh. I've never hauled totes in a van, but always had my endorsement. I can't even remember the spec's on the rule... so many gallons / lbs something or size or something...

I need a refresher course, haha! << Really, I don't remember ever having learned the 'rules' on that one....
