I always vote NO on whether a judge should retain their seat. I don't think anybody else does but it makes me think I'm trying to prevent appointed judges from being able to legislate from the bench.

 

Something's never change, just variations. I go back to how marketing utilizes situations to subtly garner gain.

Take you back to Walmart originally. Sign over the checkout counters. "if there are more than ? people at a register, we will open another one."

Then the greeter phase.. Notice these were older people and some visibly handicapped. (One on the original store on W, Main here had only one arm. subtle msg was we help the old handicapped people.) I think Sam himself was truly a good hearted person. Sam died and along with a lot of his business philosophy.

Then comes the lower lines of the sheet, cut out the greeters. Then the self checkouts. A few as a convenience to the quart of milk and loaf of bread on the way homre to make dinner. Ah; twenty registers vacant, but added self check to the other entrance way. This is great, put a belt feed on another larger selfcheck lane to enable you to do your "large order" more conveniently.
Then, shoplifting created the "leaving greeter". Created the fear you might be checked....This kinda backfired and was dropped. Now stores I visit have a roving uniformed Security jacket wandering near the exits. You are being watched...
Actually,:with Kroger testing ALL self checkout in Franklin, TN , the only thing the customer is NOT doing is unloading the trucks and placing it in the shelves.
Ooops.. Robots under design now to do that.
Life, tech progress. more hefty profits are the order of the day. No wonder the "consumer" is lying, cheating stealing, taking dope......

Bride is scheduled for surgery tomorrow discharge Friday or Saturday. Bringing an end to another unwanted episode of bachelor life. I’m not as good as @tramm01 at putting on the feed bag. I think I will use the excuse that I have no elk.
