Good points. I'm certainly not hard to deal with so there's that. I've never really run across a scenario like the one you've presented so I really don't know if I can solve problems or not. The worst thing that I've seen are cancelled loads, loads loaded on another carriers trailer, and wrong pick up numbers. I guess I'll just have to see what the days present me and see if I'm up to the challenges. Thanks for your input.

No, started out putting truck in Detroit shop to get the extended warranty activated. Needs to be seen before it hits 500k, I'm at 496k. They take an oil sample, change oil and all filters, clean DPF filter, and fix any leaks as part of the service. After this I'd planned on having the trans and diffs serviced at another shop that'd be cheaper.... well, they found a small leak at the back of the engine. That lead to removing the transmission and flywheel to fix. During which they informed me a spring was broken in the clutch assembly and recommended replacement. Since they already have it torn apart, I basically only have to pay for parts on the clutch, so it sucks, but no Brainer there, hell yeah replace it! Frustrating part is I never even use the #### clutch, they said it's a common problem, guess road vibration causes the springs to wear and break eventually.... so yesterday I ok everything and they said it'd be put back together and ready by midmorning today, great, gives me enough time to put in the other shop, get those services done along with a windshield and roll early sat am.... call this morning before checking out of hotel. Now there saying late tonight/early tomorrow morning... so, extended hotel another day, and there goes saving money on the trans& diff services because I won't be able to get in the other shop on Saturday. So now I'm paying Detroit considerably more to do those services as well, and changed the mobile windshield guy to go by their shop instead. So much for rolling early am.... hopefully they still have it ready tomorrow morning sometime, already got a nice New Mexico load outta here and back, don't wanna lose it.

My experience was, if you were paying cash, you went to the front of the line. If you were getting 'free' warranty work, they'd get to you when they could.
It would be interesting to know if you were paying for everything, how soon would they have been done. And what's the gain / loss between the two when you factor in motels and lost revenue.

Believe me, with what they're charging for the clutch, & trans and diff service, I definitely ain't getting off cheap!.. they're getting paid pretty well to fulfill their "free" warranty work. Funny how it works out that way.
