All I can say is that when you and the dog make eye contact and he’s saying “F dad I’m trying everything I know to do” all you can say is “Turn it loose and save yourself— then run and tell Ma she probably ought to call the bambulance”Cattleman84, dwells40, Bud A. and 11 others Thank this.

What good does it do to fast for 1 day? Wouldn't you rather know where you really stand?Cowboyrich, dwells40, Bud A. and 7 others Thank this.

As much as I hate to admit it that actually makes sense... however, just about any medical test or procedures they tell people not to eat or drink after a certain time... but you'd think with blood work they'd want to know how it looks on a normal daily basis... weirdCowboyrich, dwells40, Bud A. and 9 others Thank this.

So they don’t see how bad your numbers really are. Lol.

And this little white bulldog was obtained at the Swift plant in West Point as the owner was trying to give him away. Owner said he had the "mange" and if no one wanted him, he was going to shoot him. We took him home with us and when there, Daddy took him to the "toolshed", where he kept a 5 gal bucket of burnt oil from the tractors. (You come in with a post hole digger, shovel, hoe. etc.. you scraped any mud / dirt off, then dipped it in the oil bucket.
(Never was told WHY, just was instructed once to DO IT.)
So Daddy walks over to the bucket, grabs the dog by the collar and half twists, proceeds to dunk him deep in to the oil. Kinda tossed him off aside so he could shake... Burnt 30W oil will cure "Red Mange" on a small bulldog. Bob looked like the meat end of a corndog there for a week or so till all the muddy/dirty/oily stuff fell off with some of his hair. Month later, Buck (our big orange/white bulldog) had a rasslin companion....Cattleman84, Opus, dwells40 and 12 others Thank this. -
Well it would work IF you eat the exact same thing every day. Easer to create a baseline of nothing for 12 hours. I got a new Doc and she changed it up by having me get the blood work 1 week before my quarterly apt so she can go over the info while I'm there at the apt a week later, instead of getting the report a week after my apt and mailing me the results with some notes on it.Bud A., austinmike, Feedman and 7 others Thank this.

Actually tests need a baseline. If you eat prior to a test then your levels are squewked.
