    That's weird, I have the same setup, never had a problem with the strap not holding tight enough

    Mack Visions had a similar setup, and on the one I had it did tend to work loose after a while.

    That was a spring ride single screw though.

    Wallmart..,get the cheap, perforated, thin, looks like a waffle design, sink pad. Cut to fit under radio, then strap back. Will set stil then.
    (I had CB on masonite to sit on passenger seat when I would go to KY to visit. Did not want to hard install.
    Had same problem, slid around.) Will seek more concise description/pic.

    Mine is just velcro strap that goes around and squeezes it against the bracket it sits on. Works good
