    Ah, but there is a driver shortage....as long as the big carriers can get federal funding for training new drivers, there will always be a driver shortage.

    I was talking to a chip truck driver this morning. He checked into it and said Maverick is only paying $22 an hour. Plus some other load pay that depends on the load. Won't be very many that get close to that $75k they are advertising.

    Probably not...but I have never seen an actual driver shortage...just a shortage of people willing to take the abuse that carriers like to heap on drivers.
