A unpaid Vacation Day was granted to the other 3 involved in this Project with hopes that the 10 Degree cooler Weather will keep Shifty squirreled away and outta our hair tomorrow

Moms coming over for New Years dinner.
Ham, not all that impressed with the Honey Baked one I got, 56 bucks for a 3.5 lb Boneless, it good but has some gristle, Blackeye peas with red onions and CORNBREAD.

The terms “roasting” and “baking” are often used interchangeably in cooking, but they do have some subtle differences.
Roasting traditionally refers to cooking food on a spit, directly exposed to fire, and is often used for meats or vegetables that are coated in oil or another fat, seasoned, and then cooked in an open pan or on a rack. This method allows the food to be exposed to the heat, becoming browned and crispy. Roast beef, for example, is a cut of meat meant to be cooked in an oven at a relatively low temperature for a long time.
On the other hand, baking was historically applied to cooking done in a dish. If a dish cooked in the oven is covered in a sauce, or cooked in a covered pot, it’s usually described as baked. Baked ham, for instance, is often glazed and cooked in the oven, sometimes covered.
However, these distinctions are not always strictly adhered to, and the terms can be used for similar or even the same preparations. The choice of term can also depend on regional language preferences and culinary traditions. So, while beef is often roasted and ham is often baked, you might also come across recipes for baked beef or roasted ham.
