The gorge — and you can’t get out of it once you’re in— @Oxbow shanked his drive and was cussing like a drunk sailor but it turned out he was safe

Most guys are parked for the night. Guess I am a super trucker. Currently letting the turdbox warm up and thaw out.

These guys have been complaining all day about the snow. Bunch of sissy sand haulers. Oilfield used to be manly men. Of course so did trucking. Now they just sit and complain on the telegram app.

If you are able to drive in snow and are not afraid of it they call you unsafe. Sure, whatever you say Nancy.

He gives us a lot of meat. We try to help process when we are available. Which for me is never. But his sister gets down there more often

Prayers up for your dad's surgery to have been successful; hasty healing, and he can recover his strength and movement.
An additional bit for you, that you have the patience to continue to manage his care.

Take all the help offered. If you slip and break a leg, who will do it? Or ifhe gets injured from being dropped, and it affect's this prior surgery?
Took me a long time to accept that, so maybe gain from it.

25 here now, on down to 11. Add in wind chill for tomorrow nights low of -0. Melted some Thursdays in sunshine, enough to make water and re freeze.
    No relief predicted till Monday.

The Interstates were clean and mostly dry......the ramps, secondary highways, and parking lots, not so much.

Did two truckstop loads and came home. Third one woulda been an "over the river and through the woods" on a two-lane state route, with an empty trailer, just to get to the loading rack. I declined to go.

Motherless wind has returned, driving wind chill temps below zero.

I'm going to bed. G'nite all, keep warm!
