+1 on any oil. We used vegetable oil for hydraulic pumps. Why? if it spills not a hazmat issue. I wouldn't use wd40. Probably engine oil if I had it, something less likely to push past seals.

 

Much ice……. Very bad . Lots of accidents, luckily none on my hill.
