For general info to all.
My 92 yr old sister passed away Tuesday morning here in Tupelo Hospital. Was expected for last 4 or 5 days.
Had been in mental care (dementia) for last year or so.
She responded to me when I visited weekly or so. Don't know if she accepted as brother Roger, or "that man who comes over here and talks to me."

This offering may be helpful to anyone with family in that condition.
First, she was with you in the moment, as to what you were saying, just could not tell you what was done/said 20 minutes later.
So I would visit; talk with her, ask if she would like to talk to daughter or son by name, to get here in sync. Then dial them on my cell phone and let her chat.
For the length of call, have a nice conversation of we are fine, weather is good, hope you are enjoying you living there...
I like to believe she is in heaven; memory restored, and has met with her husband who preceded her several years ago.
