Today I get to enjoy South Georgia weather tain humidity and a high of 92.

My last job before trucking was as a consultant for a firm. Their way of 'consulting' was to basically tear every person and every department down. I wasn't really into it, but I needed a job and so I did it for about a year and a half.
One day the big man shows up and he and I and the project manager sit down.
"We're going to need your resignation," he says. "You're just not like us."
I said, "you're right Jeff, I'm not like you. And I'm happy to know it."
Walked out and drove home from Nashville. (We were doing a project for Western Express).

 

I did two local jobs and went back to Land starve. If I found 50 hours a week with ten hours of commute each week I would have stayed. But Landstar I have control over time out and home.
