I think I have said this before but it bears repeating. Eff the guy who came up with the oil filter placement and that useless drip pan thing underneath it on this F150. I hope he breaks both ankles, arms and somehow looses half a nostril. He deserves all of that.

Finally had enough of that drip pan and removed it. Came out looking like a coalminer from the elbows down. Oil doesn’t drain out of it, it just lays there. And there is two openings so you may have oil come out front and back.

I have a F150, probably similar setup as yours. Oil filter in behind the fan, can’t hardly reach it from top or bottom, no way from front. Oil pan on bottom always dumps all the oil on the floor about an inch away from drain pan, some goes off front, some off back. By the time I’m done servicing mine, I always want to take the guy who designed the setup, hang him by his eyelids, and then whack his nuts with a hammer till he blinks.

My mom lived to almost ninety. She chain smoked Camel non filters from the age of 16 ! Never saw the inside of a gym. Loved sweets , she was always eating candy but otherwise she ate very healthy and no alcohol , no drugs.
I think it is in the DNA. She beat a few kinds of cancers. serious ones as well. I hope she is resting in peace.

Keith Richards gets complete blood transfusions. My guess is the more money one has the more maintenance work you can have done. There is a whole lot of things that can be done. But who can afford it?
A rich man and a poor man going to a hospital for the exact same thing are going to get taken care of according to their insurance. Or bank account.

On the other hand scientists feel that people who have good social lives will beat out anything that comes after you. If you have friends and family or live in a caring community , like even three and four generations living together ....kinda like The Waltons i imagine , wins out over everything. It is all very interesting. and everyone has a different idea.
