Well, I'm sitting here over at the plant, waiting to pick up a load of HFCS for a Major National Candy Manufacturer.

When who pulls up next to me but a QC Independent-by God-Owner-Operator in his black, chromed-out Large Car. OLD Arn.

Scarcely bothers to look in my direction, neither giving nor receiving the polite head nod that denotes the last vestige of respect among trucking professionals these days.

He struts towards the guard shack like he has a cob up his ###, arms held widely from his sides like he actually has biceps.

Leaves the guard shack, walks back to his trailer, climbs UP the ladder (right in front of the 6-foot by 4-foot sign telling truck drivers NOT to climb up on their trailers) then returns to the guard shack, sticks his head IN THROUGH the open guard shack window, presumably to tell the guard that he's an Independent-by God-Owner-Operator and he can do whatever he wants, and if they don't like it the can shove the load up their ### sideways.....

Meanwhile, he's delivering sodium hydroxide CIP solution.....while wearing sneakers.

At least he ain't got on flip flops.

I'll bet he doesn't have a hard hat, either.

The professionalism is bleeding out of the tank sector, too.

Retirement can't come fast enough for me.....
