On the theme of needing to do or situation adaption, my thoughts extend to fishing.
The partner asked: What are you doing with the boat on your pickup coming to work?.
Me: Been running my trotlines, go back this evening after work to rebait...
Partner: It is raining and a storm coming in by tonite.
ME: Catfish don't know bout rain, he is wet all the time. Thunder seems to make the old big one bite better.
He did not ask to go with me...

Ive got some pretty extensive experience with really good leather holsters, albeit years ago.. Just not building them. And I have access to several holsters I could use as patterns. My biggest dilemma is molding and fitting, as I have a felony I can not posess a firearm to do it. So the next best alternative is a blue gun. But they are not cheap, and some models of firearms can be very difficult to find as blue guns.

Not really poach'n now days. A good hire that is good at what he does isn't sitting at home looking at job ad's, he's working. You've got to offer him a better deal than what he's got if you want him. Not really stealing employees from someone, nobody can fault a man for trying to better himself.
