Storm update.....first, the charge of the light brigade.....the pink one is The Hazuls.. 20240803_174952.jpg

The generator was successfully started with little trouble (about 10 or 12 pulls). Then I let it run for about 15 minutes or so.
Have restocked the liquor cabinet and have a fresh carton of smokes.
    We're set

It’s storming around my neck of the words right now.

I have the trusty lanterns ready, with plenty of oil. Decorative, yet functional. :D

I put Stabil in the non ethanol gas I use for my generator. Keep the tank full and it sat for over a year one time and started right up and ran good.

Thermal mass is your friend. So make sure that the fridge and coolers are well stocked.

If there's an airport close by get yourself some 100LL avgas. A lot of the smaller airports have self service pumps so getting 5 or 10 gallons isn't any problem.
We run several Honda generators and pumps and 100LL works great. Plugs last a long time and the gas itself doesn't go stale as fast as regular car gas.
If you're doing self serve the meter might ask for your N number. Put in a string of 0s. Don't use the N Number of existing aircraft.

I started this thing about 4 or 5 years ago When I first bought it and let it run for about 10 minutes.......covered it up and put it in the shed. Uncovered it today, poured some fresh gas and some D12 (???) in it, and like I said before, after about 10 or 12 pulls, she fired right up. Ran a little rough at first, but after 5 minutes or so, smoothed right out. I also bought some Stabil for future use. I'm gettin there.....
