Paint shop called today. Fender’s done.

I can’t wait to get that thing back on so I can put this ordeal behind me.

@JolliRoger beat me to the correction......serves me right for putting down my phone in order to do my job.

But also, Del Shannon, Del Ray, and the Del Fuegos.

Yall fuss, but some of those connecters have more pins than the typical 2 blades and round ground. Even a 10 pin one requires some smarts.

Ah, youth. You guys should have tried an old IH combine or hay press. And fittings, think 25 or more. And some in hard to reach places.
Worst part was doing the job properly. Rag in left hand, g/gun in right (no hose/straight tube), find the fitting, wipe it clean with rag, position, connect and apply till the grease just cracks the exterior of its holder. (Few sealed and if so, seal been gone.) Do not waste grease by pumping it thru the bearing to fall on the ground. Then wipe the very litttle grease from disconnecting off the fitting. Usually could reach 3 or more from one position.
Did this, fueling/oil check the engine, remove any debris hanging on not supposed to be there, while the "dew" got off so could go to work....
