I just discovered something. You can scan tge Walter world receipt with the app thingy and it shows you a list of everything you bought complete with pictures. Awesome.

 

Most of the last 20/30 years past moonshiners here were so inept they killed a bunch of people with their rigging of old radiators and contaminated rusty oil drums. State went wet so demand was off, profit declined, art was lost...
Actually, best whiskey I ever tasted was in Canton, MS, in about 1955, made in (somewhere near) Flora, MS. Was a homemade rye based whiskey and smooth as silk. Tasted like a bonded brand cut with coca cola. Smooth and tasteful. Gin office had a gallon on hand for yard needs...Whiskey making is like BBQ and welding. Need to know what you are doing to produce smoky but smooth...

takes time amigo let it sit in a barrel 10 ,12 yrs . If you want the jack type gotta pour thru sugar maple charcol.

Is there a connection between Wellers and Buffalo Trace. I brought a bottle of BT down from KY for my SIL to reward an atty here in Tupelo. Atty was overjoyed upon receipt, said it hard to find. Think SIL pd almost $60 for it. Stocked fine in Lexington.

Ain't no bad whiskey.. Planter in the Delta had just got a jug. Offered his faithful driver a "taste" to be sure of safe sipping.
Driver took a swig, gagged, flooded his eyes, coughed, snorted and got his breath back.
Planter asked: Well, how was it?
FD replied:Jus rite...
Planter said: What do you mean, jus rite, after all that?
FD replied: If it had been any better, you would not have shared...If it had been any worse, I couldn't have stood it...
