We just had a vegetable chen.

    Wind is already in Pre-howl.

The bike miles could prove daunting.

I’m not against pizza, but it’s not something I crave. I could just call the wife. Right now at least. We are probably headed to Asheville when they are done here

Well you're in the wrong state for Nick's Barbecue and Catfish.

Good you're close enough to go home. We're (there's 3 of us here ) are at a lay down yard about 4 miles west of exit 11 off I-75 the crews bring us food and ice from the power company and take us to the motel at 9:00 . It's a safe place here has a locked fence with a light tower running all night and a night watchmen. We're technically on call from 8:00am till 9:00 pm unless they ask us to start early or stay late. So we're getting 13 hours min. Good while it lasts.

Sacrifices must be made when you are on a storm crew.

I’m straight day rate. On call from 7 to 7. Definitely worth doing. Most everything we have is tracked machines. Better suited for the mountains, but the word I have is they haven’t even got a plan together up there.

There used to be a dang good barbecue joint by the Peelot on 20 as you crossed into GA from Bama.

One of our guys delivered a big generator north of Asheville yesterday afternoon to a water treatment plant. He was running down here over the weekend bringing matts down. He said what he saw up there doesn't compare to this. The flooding was horrible.
