Yeah, Yeah. You crank enough old Farmall Regulars/F20's, and forgetting to "trip the magneto" before will show you the benefits of powered inhiation.
You know the mag fires at a mite before TDC and the momentum of the flywheel hooches it on over to continue and run. This "tripping the mag, is manually setting a delay, so it don't fire till the turn is over center and can catch or not. But it don't make it kick back and unwind the crank and you holding it in a sudden and painful counter clockwise rotation... Specially if you are 12 years old and have eased it around slowly to have the crank tight at the 1 o'nclock position and can jump your scrawny butt up on to bear it down for a half rev.
120 acre farm came with 40 acre woodlot. We had a crosscut saw, log chain, tractor to pull to house, double bitted axe to split (wedge and sledge for the tough knotty ones), Whuffo we need a chain saw? We prolly had a tree down, trimmed, cut to length, loaded and on the way to the house... By the time you got your gas, oil, saw file stashed to not lose on the way over, then find, fill ,and jerk on an hour or two...
