I ran a good bit out of KC in Augusta. Place kinda sucked, but it wasn't awful.
I picked up a trailer early one morning headed to SC. Got my paperwork, checked out with the guard, and off I went.
So I get to my destination, and the check in folks say this is the wrong trailer. And sure enough it was.
So, I haul tail back to KC, explain the problem and they say that's your tough noogies, you ain't bringing it back.
And I explain that this is your stuff and I just need to swap trailers.
No go.
So, they call up the Sargent at Arms and inform him of the situation.
He says, nope, you gotta leave.
And I say, well that's fine.
Now tomorrow morning when your customer doesn't have his stuff, and they realize that YOUR gate guard let it leave the facility and the driver tried to bring it back and you refused it, what are you going to say?

They let me in and swap out and I was gone.

Funny when reality kicks in, people get the message.
