Area has changed a bit since then.
Fort Devens is still in operation but most of it has been converted into a business park.
What Uncle Sam still owns is the federal prison and the medical center that caters to the inmates at said prison. Downtown Fitchburg is in a state of decline but the city is still trying to drum up business. Both Fitchburg and Leominster are mostly family orientated depending on where you are. It’s the most affordable housing outside of the I-495 corridor.

 

Stevie Wonder could see those two companies are bad deals!!

 

Tomorrow is oil change on the mighty equinox then breakfast then go pay the tax man.

Thanks for the reply. Met some nice people up there. Area was sota cramped/built like most NE/coast cities, but had a touch of New England character.
As aged and deteriorated, would look shabby. But, boarded up plywood store fronts in small MS towns are not fashionable.
