Awhile back I realized I was gonna have to learn to use a sewing machine. Mom used to do all that stuff for me but she has retired from that gig. She did show me the basics on this machine and my Great grandmothers 1914 Singer 127. She got it brand new for her 16th birthday.

For what alterations cost now days you can save a ton doing it yourself. I had a new zipper put in my Bimini top cover for my boat and that was $60.
