Yet one more example of why I made sure my property was in the county and not a city or UGA (Urban Growth Area to be annexed/seized into a city).

Universally I have found City Bureaucrats to be an elitist group of S.Heads worse than any H.O.A.

County here would just want to see engineering documentation for a building that size and ensure the driveway was wide enough , with a turnaround, for the huge firetrucks they run. State would probably follow up to make sure chemical/hazmat was stored appropriately for the truck repair side of things.

 

Prolly just as well, for your sanity.......

We went to the Big12 Basketball Tourney at the Sprint Center in KC a few years ago and they've got two escalators out in the main lobby that are out in the middle with no walls close. They take you from ground floor to nose bleed seats and they made me nervous. Had to ride up/down one time just to say I did it, but was leaning heavily towards waiting on an elevator to get back down....I'm not a fan of heights.

 

I've been up DOT says I'm not safe to drive yet. Well paper towel fell down and over the bunk heater inlet. It wouldn't run. That situation has been fixed.
