What if it Snows?

This is what they look like around here.

 

Mackay and maybe Ririe reservoir in this end of the state, and Pend O'reille up north have them. They ice fish for them on Mackay.

 

Check your grocery vendor "Kroger/Fry/ Albertson/ Whoever, inquire if they stock, have on hand, ever heard of Heartland Catfish Co....
Get the largest, whole dressed fish, they have. Cut pieces crossways 1/2 inch thick, prepare as posted earlier. Will be frozen /thaw in reefer. See # 208068
There are other brands, as long as it comes from Belzoni, Indianola, or Itta Bena, MS be good.

 

They spawn up the creeks above Mackay reservoir. They turn the creeks red like the sockeye used to at Redfish lake near Stanley Idaho.

Not a fishing person. Used to when I was younger, like before I would actually need a license.

 

Me neither anymore, but one of the consultants we work with lives there and smokes them. Really tasty.

 

Can't beat Crappie. Bout the size of your hands together, palms inward. But; hard to catch, soft mouth, one jerk and he gone..

 

Upright squeeze chute. Doubt if it will catch on tho.........
