    I’d give it a try.

Knob Creek will be hard to top though.

I had hotdogs, man! Surely that ranks worse than chili!️ Was definitely NOT my intention, however I decided since our plans this morning fell through, I would dehorn some calves, sort and move some heifers, and put the next half dozen or so out with the bull. NEVER sort heifers on Jesus’ birthday! It was cloudy when I started, started taining when I was a little over half done. Oh well, I don’t quit when I’m tired, I quit when I’m done! So I set out to finish in the tain. Hauled the heifers to the pasture, one promptly got out. Running around in a muddy soybean field is fun, right? Got her back in, she promptly tested the electric fence again. WHAP!!! She bellowed, and instead of backing up, tore right on through, totally ripped the hi tensile wire! It took twice as long to get her back in the second time, and then due to the fact that we recently uprooted and moved, I was unable to find all my fencing supplies. :rolleyes:o_O:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: So, the wife stood guard, while I went hunting, found enough “stuff” to mcgyver it together. Had one steer that dad wanted, so decided by way of relaxation, I would haul it over to him. Bad news, when we unloaded him, he decided the other cattle looked to intimidating, and proceeded to crawl through the fence and go galumphing around the countryside. (We had just unplugged the fencer, because it shocked the hooey out of me when I touched the gate. Right after he assured me it WOULDNT shock if I touched the gate) So, got to run around the field beside his place too!!!!!!! Finally headed home, I called all the pizza places within a half hour radius of the house, all were closed for Christmas. Oh well, someone somewhere would be tickled pink with my hotdogs! And, I was so hungry, I about would have chewed on whale blubber like an Eskimo

Okay, sounds like just another day in what my cattle buyer calls "The Used Cow Bidness". Did anything unusual happen? ;)

    Merry Christmas to all.
