Well, it’s certainly nice to be appreciated.

I hope all that ###hole’s employees quit right then and there after that statement. It would serve him right.

Because back then there wasn’t the American appetite for beef, because we’re all fat slobs who are all incapable of even wiping our own ###es without the “helping” hand of the gooberment telling us to eat rabbit food.

I detect a hint of patriotism.

Keep dry and warm, wherever you venture. Pneumonia and flu like things will get to you quick when body is chilled.
Used to run Lakeland, FL to Grand Forks, ND. Start T shirt, shirt in MS, jacket at Waterloo, then cardboard in front of radiator (po boy winter screen) and keep inside except to open doors and bills to leave. Age and old lungs can't stand bad cold now. Good I am in a well furnished place now.
    Edit to add...
Dale, lots of old memories of good time with lots of people come to mind just sitting and watching embers glow on down. I've done it a lot in years past. It is comforting in its way.

I have the same problem. Nothing takes the chill off like wood heat. And I can watch it for hours
