More throttle is always the answer. It may not solve the problem but it will end the suspense

My dad had a 1966 Ford Country Squire wagon and later a 1972 Ford Torino Wagon back in the days….. no wonder I’m a FORD man.

Mine was too. He had a 65' or 66' Fairlane with a 390 in it, and got a brand new 71' LTD with a Cleveland motor.

I remember doing like 120 in The LTD and him going," Don't tell your mother about this."

Dad bought a 1964 Oldsmobile Jetstar 88 convertible with a 394 in it as I recall. It's a #### good thing that car couldn't talk!

If I were going to do that I'd go after one like Donna's kitchen in Worden OR. Or the shell station in Shanico, Or. Both on HWY 97 and no food or fuel for a good stretch. Donna's kitchen had a really good reputation for food, they had fuel (spendy) and decent parking for it's location. The shell in shanico is an hour from anywhere, could be hit and miss on food for a while (yes I said food, they had a full kitchen no hot case garbage) that's the kind I would go after.
