And a porcelain top with a formed mound hole for the dasher... Be a plus... Churn..
    Added...
Was also used to make pickles.(soak cukes and vinegar/sugar and seems like we used for some phase of hog killing.. Something in brine or Souse meat maybe?)

I have 2 uncle's that own a flooring business (over 40 years) I call them, they come out, I make sure beer is available when they are ready and the wife makes sure they are well fed, it takes a lot of fuel to keep them running but well worth it.

Those things sell like hot cakes. Some go for quite a bit. I’ll make a note and try to find out.
What were those things used for originally? I know nothing about em.

That looks great. After dad sold the house in Austin the new owner ripped out the carpet and re~did the wood floors. Beautiful.
And yes , it will be hired out.

    It is and it's beautiful.
It's actually been at least 15 years since the dude did his deal, and it looks like he did it yesterday. We (The Hazul) haven’t done anything to it but sweep it.
    Best money I ever spent.
So, the moral of the story is, if you want quality work, hire it out if you don't know what you're doing. A lot of things seem simple, but most of them are not.

That's what I had. A crap load of ugly, staind carpet, and when I pulled it up, it was beautiful oak flooring. It was The Hazuls idea. (She has her moments from time to time).

Tween the Chief of Police raiding the Marion County newspaper and your hazardous road conditions, Kansas be risky.
Add 2 women from there get ambushed and plane from Wichita ambushed ... Yall be fearing rated down nearly to us in MS.
(MS is used as the benchmark for low by all the media hacks.. I'm casting around for a 2nd choice to lay off on.)

I think they cured meat in them, pickled vegetables, fermented fruit, etc.

That's what my grandma did with the bigger ones, she also had some smaller ones she would store salt, sugar corn meal, and other staples in when times were good and use them when times weren't so good.
