Why do we make life difficult????? This is silly

As the law stands now, all that a hotel guest has to do is claim tenant rights — a simple verbal statement to the hotel owners or police — and they would have to be formally evicted. That process can take months or years, all while guests continue living at the hotel for free. Police cannot forcibly remove them until the eviction process is complete.
