    I had an Oregonian route on the coast and it was uphill both ways in the dark. Have you ever seen a Sunday Oregonian. Only thing scarier were those Critters that lived in our Blackberry forts. No sissies lived then.

    I remember having 2 & 3 routes at times back in ancient times.

    And,
    those cheap ######## that would go quite, hide & not answer the door come collection day.

    Never knew it would actually be good training for future accounts receivables! LOL

    The sister had the route next to mine and she was ruthless and heartless when it came to collecting— I was more sympathetic and it cost me but it made me realize that work’n for $2.85 an hour was much more profitable than owing $128.85 — pretty much the way things have gone since
