That's the tough part. Sitting on the back porch drinking beer and taking naps sounds awesome, until you do it.
The only thing I would say is that I made The Hazul go to the Southwest Council on Aging and get hooked up there.
She has a looming class, a yogurt, class, gardening class and volunteers for various projects. It gets her out of the house and out of my hair. Plus she makes new friends.
I'm sure if you looked around you could find community projects that your skills could use and appreciate. You just gotta look.

Sandles and black soxs. Bermuda shorts, Hawaiian shirt and a big straw hat.

 

Did not know that, but I don't do ball games most times except our neighbors grandkids, then I just pocket some beer and keep it discrete.

 

Probably best bet at this point.
