    Sturgeon are mostly freshwater fish, have no bones and taste really good. And we used to fish some of the Sierra lakes for Kokanee, which are kind of a lake-locked Salmon. Tastes good too.

    There're both. Lake sturgeon and river which migrate. Good eating but real ugly fish.

    Around this area, it is claimed to have Kokanee. Seems no one ever catches any. I would really like to find out where they are supposed to be and see about trying it. Have been told they are quite good eating.

    Smoked Kokanee is hard to beat!

    Ririe and Mackay reservoirs each have them. I've seen the creeks upstream from Mackay Reservoir look almost solid red from Kokanee.
