I've seen Amana's run alooong time.

 

That stinks. I feel for you. Appliances are just not made to last any more. We have had several die in the last maybe 12 years.
Will never buy a Samsung product again. What do you plan to replace it with? I can dig into Consumer Reports and see if they have anything on refrigerators lately.

 

Maytag bought out Amana a while back, one of the reasons was for their refrigerator products.

Our oversized didn’t go to plan

 

I ordered a 16” leather wrap SCI steering wheel from Raneys last week, today I received the package, one problem, they sent me the 18” . Probably will have to wait 2 weeks by the time they receive it back and reship the correct one. I’m not buying squat from them anymore.

 

LG and Samsung are trash. More so with LG it is the worst refrigerator we ever bought. I have the cheapest woorlpool you can get with an ice maker. It has been great so far but won’t really know for at least 15 years.

 

Wow, thats what we replaced the Samsung trash with, an LG. It is a single door, bottom freezer. At the time, it was well recommended on Consumer Reports. So far, 5 years, not a problem with it.

Had problems with my GE about 1.5 or 2.5 years ago, got the Parts and with some YouTube research along with some advice from the Savannah Parts House and fixed it for $60 or $70. Was so confident about that Repair that I then replaced the Fan Motor that had been making a racket from when it was new although I didn't hear it due to bad Hearing which was rectified about the same time as the initial Fridge Repair
